Polymer Sourcing 2010 was held in Hamburg from 13-15 April 2010. It was the 6th edition of this AMI forum which was specifically created for companies involved at every stage of the European polymer supply chain.
The conference highlighted the effect of worldwide decisions by polymer producers on polymer trading and distribution in Europe. Up to date presentation on the perspectives on an industry which has been so buffeted by recent challenges that old management techniques have had to change profoundly were also given.
The conference summarized underlying patterns of polymer demand, explore logistical problems for polymer suppliers, take a new look at supply chain optimization and review the impact of recent financial difficulties at both extremes of the supply chain.
Polymer Sourcing 2010 was an opportunity for existing industry participants to digest recent developments but also to think about the future and how to evolve in the new faster-cycling and cash strapped market.
