Recent advances in barrier film include several improved formulations, refinements to production processes, a new type of active packaging and a bright future for metallisation.

While barrier film remains a key element within packaging, it must – along with all other plastic products – be able to show better sustainability. Klöckner Pentaplast says that a new range of films aim to make protein packaging easier to recycle.
