As providers of critical infrastructure, electricity network providers are, perhaps unsurprisingly, a little conservative but they are certainly not closed to new ideas or unaware of the overriding need to expand and rebalance grids to accommodate shifting energy-generating locations and user demands.
At the same time, focus is intensifying on the cost, reliability and performance of cable systems, as well as their sustainability. Polymer and additive producers are developing new grades that allow cable producers to meet growing wire & cable demand while addressing producer demands for more durable, better performing and more cost-effective cable systems.
