AMI's first Polymer Testing & Analysis in the US takes place on September 19-20 at the Marriott Pittsburgh City Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
The conference offers the opportunity to discover and debate the latest innovations in polymer testing, characterization and analysis. Polymer testing and analysis underpin all stages of successful plastics processing. As the market demands new plastics products that are smaller, smarter, stronger and safer, so the challenges for materials suppliers, designers and specifiers increase. It is essential to understand how a material or compound will behave during processing and how a product will respond to its user and environment. How will a change in compound formulation affect the mechanical properties of an end product? How will exposure to extreme weather conditions influence the durability of a photovoltaic panel? How will cables or electrical housings behave in a fire?
Key plastics markets place particular demands on plastics performance, from degradability of a single-use packaging product to long-term stability of construction products. End-use markets ranging from medical products to civil infrastructure all require compliance with complex and evolving standards. How are extractables and leachables assessed from a complex pharmaceutical package? What are the latest regulations governing food-contact plastics? Can accelerated oven ageing emulate the conditions experienced over a product’s lifetime? What is the role of non-destructive testing in preventing product failure?
Plastics processors need to understand the needs of their customers and also rely upon testing of raw materials and products for quality assurance. Plastics materials and products continue to evolve, processing problems can be costly and product failures potentially catastrophic. Polymer testing equipment and techniques are advancing to meet these challenges within a complex regulatory environment and this new event will provide a unique forum in which to explore these issues and discuss the latest solutions.

We are inviting expert speakers to present at the first edition of AMI's Polymer Testing & Analysis conference in the US.

The table top exhibition is an integral part of the event; It is the ideal setting to promote your company and gives potential customers an access point to connect with you directly.
The exhibition package includes: Space in the exhibition room (where registration, all breaks and the cocktail reception are held), a profile of your company in the conference proceedings and 1 free delegate place.

Can I register online?

What does the registration fee include?
The registration fee includes access to the sessions and exhibition room, conference materials, all break refreshments and lunch on both days, an invitation to the cocktail reception, and invaluable networking opportunities.
Do I need to book my accommodation directly?
Yes, delegates are responsible for booking their own accommodation. A limited number of discounted rooms have been reserved for attendees. Please book your rooms as soon as possible as space is limited. Please contact the Marriott Pittsburgh City Center at +1 412 471 4000 and be sure to mention AMI's Polymer Testing and Analysis Conference to receive the special room rate.
How can I pay?

*Please note all cards payments will be processed in US dollars ($) and payment terms are NET 30.
Can I pay with an AMEX card?
Yes, we do accept American Express payment if no other method of payment is available to you. Please be aware that the payment will be processed in US Dollars and that the AMEX commission will be based on the US Dollar exchange rate of the day we process your credit card. In addition because of the much higher costs involved in accepting payments by AMEX we reserve the right to make an additional 2% charge.
Do I get a refund if I cancel my participation?
We will give you a full refund, less an administrative charge of $200 if we receive your cancellation prior to June 9, 2017. Thereafter, we regret that no refunds can be made.
Refunds cannot be made on exhibition or sponsorship packages.
Can my colleague replace me if I cannot attend the conference?
Yes, delegates may be substituted at any time, with no charge.
Can I get a group discount?

If I cannot attend, can I obtain the presentations given at the event?
Yes, the conference proceedings are available for sale after each event for $425 + postage. Email Ms. Kelly DeFino, Sr. Conference Coordinator at email@example.com for more information.
What if I cannot attend an AMI event because of bad weather, industrial action, sickness or bereavement?
Unfortunately, AMI cannot take responsibility for such problems. We recommend that you ensure that your travel plans leave you enough spare time to cope with weather delays or industrial action and that your travel insurance policy will recompense you for any financial loss that you suffer as a result of being unable to travel for other reasons. Remember that if you cannot attend an event then you can always send a colleague in your place at no charge.
Do I need a visa to enter a country where AMI is holding an event?
It is entirely possible that you may need a valid visa to enter the USA when AMI is holding an event there. We recommend that at the time of booking you check the visa requirements. Please find below a link to the US State Department's visa requirements web pages:
We are unable to give refunds to delegates who cannot attend conferences because they fail the visa requirements of the country.
Does the conference program ever change?
AMI always does its utmost to avoid changes in advertised conference programs. However, it is a fact of life that from time to time amendments have to be made as a result of changes to speakers’ circumstances or corporate change. Remember that you can always check with our conference staff on the latest status any conference program.
Can I give a paper at an AMI Conference?
AMI welcomes paper offers for presentation at our conferences provided such papers meet our quality and relevance requirements. Within each conference heading you will find a section on ‘Call for Papers’, which tells you what to do if you want to present a paper at a specific conference.
