Tell us a bit about yourself and your work at Advanced Drainage Systems

I lead Product Management, Marketing and Sustainability for Advanced Drainage Systems. ADS is a leading provider of stormwater and wastewater management solutions. ADS does this while using over 500m lbs of recycled plastic a year.

What’s the main message you want attendees to take away from your presentation?

Plastic Recycling Works!

Why is this such an important topic to discuss right now?

Current perception is that plastics cannot be easily recycled, however there is in fact an increasing demand for recycled plastic materials.

How will your presentation help industry professionals better understand or act on these challenges?

It will put the current challenges and opportunities into context, using a practical approach.

Can you give us a quick preview of something surprising you’ll touch on during your talk?

Over 40% of US households still do not have access to curbside pickup.

Who should make sure to attend your session?

Anyone in the plastics industry - resin manufacturers, extruders, blow molders, injection molders, recyclers.

What mindset shift do you hope to inspire among attendees?

Change their perception about plastics recycling and the opportunities and threats to plastics and plastic recycling.

What personal experience drew you to this topic?

I work for one of the largest plastic recyclers in the US.

What are you most looking forward to at this year’s expo?

The power of what happens when smart people and innovative companies when they get together to share knowledge and experience.
